TFFJ airport is universally famous in the flight sim community for its notoriously short runway and the steep hill right before the threshold, which forces pilots to execute a dramatic, steep descent right over a public road.
Now, swap out a small regional aircraft for the legendary Concorde—a massive, delta-wing supersonic airliner built for high-altitude cruising, not short-field bush flying. Attempting to squeeze this supersonic beast onto the tiny TFFJ tarmac is the definition of a high-risk mission.
As seen in our recent simulation attempt, physics and geometry quickly turn the landing into an absolute spectacle. Instead of a smooth touchdown, you get a close-up encounter with oncoming traffic and a hilarious reminder of why some routes simply aren’t meant to be flown!
